Site Terms and Legal-Halachic Undertaking to Pay Matchmaking Fees

Last updated: July 20, 2026

Terms of use and undertaking for matchmaking success fees. Please read carefully before using the site or registering. Entering your Israeli ID number at registration constitutes a digital signature and informed consent to these terms.

1. Introduction and definitions

The Site / Company: the operator of the technological platform and the human matchmaking network. The User: any person who registers on the site and enters their details (resume, photo, and the like) for the purpose of finding a match. The Human Network: the matchmakers, coordinators, service representatives, and rabbis employed by the site for accompaniment, meeting coordination, post-meeting follow-up, and halachic/spiritual guidance.

2. Nature of the service and separation of payments

Monthly membership fees: the user declares and agrees that the monthly membership fees collected from them are paid solely for the right to use the technological platform, server hosting, algorithm maintenance, technical customer service, and the site’s ongoing operating costs. Membership fees do not include the success fee for actually closing a match.

3. Undertaking to pay matchmaking fees (success fee)

The user hereby irrevocably undertakes that if they become engaged or married (a “vort” is set or a match is closed) with a partner whom they met or who was introduced to them through the site and/or with the help of the site’s human network, they will pay the site full matchmaking fees. Amount: a total of ₪4,000.00, including VAT. This obligation applies to the user independently, regardless of the other party’s payment obligation in the match (each party bears payment for themselves).

4. Payment timing and collection methods

Matchmaking fees shall be paid in full to the site within 7 days at the latest from the date the match is closed (engagement / vort / signing of conditions), and in any event before the wedding date, whichever is earlier. The site may collect this amount via the payment method on file in the system (the membership credit card), or by any other lawful means, and the user hereby gives advance consent to such collection upon declaration of engagement.

5. Legal and halachic validity

The user declares that their digital signature by entering their Israeli ID number (Teudat Zehut) constitutes informed, conclusive consent and full resolve (gemirat da’at) to all terms of this agreement. Under Torah law, this signature and consent constitute a complete acquisition and undertaking under the laws of “situmta” (merchant custom) and “worker and matchmaker,” and the user waives any claim of exemption, including the claim that they already paid monthly membership fees. This undertaking remains valid even if contact between the parties ceased and later resumed independently, so long as the initial connection and introduction originated through the site or its staff.
